Debra Kay Burrell Wood age 65 of San Angelo died March 4, 2021 in San Angelo.

Public Viewing will be Tuesday, March 9th 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 10th at 2:00 PM at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Burial will be at Belvedere Cemetery. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Debra was born on October 30, 1955 in San Angelo, the daughter of Bill and Elta Burrell. She attended Lakeview High School where she was voted FFA Sweetheart. 

She married Alton Harold Alexander on February 22, 1975, their union blessed them with two daughters, Leslie Renee and Zaki Natasha. 

Debra was entrepreneurial, had passion for cooking and a love for music that kept he center stage throughout her career. She had a free spirit, a love for art and living life to the fullest. 

Debra is survived by her two daughters, Leslie Renee Alexander and Zaki Natasha Alexander both of San Angelo; her mother, Elta Pierson and her friend Francis Brashear; her father Billy Burrell Sr. and his wife Shirley; her sister, Barbara Baldwin and husband Greg; and her brother Billy Burrell Jr and his wife Andrea all of San Angelo; two grandchildren, Mazzie Rain Gesch and Zade Kyler Alexander; her nieces Dorcy Stockman of Menard and Kelly Burrell of Albuquerque, NM; and great nephews Joshua Eaves of San Angelo and Tyler Burrell of Albuquerque, NM.

Austin Westlake scored early but had to fight off a pesky Houston North Shore comeback bid during the second half of a 24-21 win for a Texas high school football victory on January 9.

It was tough sledding with defenses hanging tough for each side in a 24-21 final-quarter tie.

Austin Westlake darted to a 17-14 bulge over Houston North Shore as the fourth quarter began.

The Chaparrals’ offense jumped to a 17-7 lead over the Mustangs at the intermission.

The Chaparrals opened with a 10-0 advantage over the Mustangs through the first quarter.
