Ester Hernandez

Ester Hernandez went to be with the Lord on March 14, 2021. Ester was born on March 29, 1943 in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Cruz and Leandra Macias. Ester was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Humberto; and her sisters Guadalupe Aguilera and Amelia Hernandez.

Ester was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who put family first. She was a very humble and sweet lady who provided a safe and loving environment for her seven children. She enjoyed music and church and often visited her extended family in Eagle Pass. She worked at Levi Strauss, Barry’s of San Angelo and Angelo State University.

Ester is survived by her seven children: Joe Hernandez, Vangie (Michael) McEligot, Marivel (John) Torres, Daniel M. (Julie Roberts) Hernandez, Hector Hernandez, Sam (Melissa) Hernandez, and Richard Hernandez; grandchildren Jennifer Hernandez, Marsha Lopez, Marissa and Steven McEligot, John, Mark and Aaron Torres, Daniel, Eric, Samuel, Rene and Tommy Hernandez, and Melinda Aguilera, Austin, Nick and Jonah Hernandez and Diamond Winburne, Jacob and Mariah Hernandez; 16 great-grandchildren; and, her brother Jesus Macias and sister Dorothy Romero.
