Tommy Dean Wright

Tom Wright, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2021. He is survived by his wife Belinda, his son Tom Wright Jr (Nancy), granddaughters Amanda and Alexia, brothers JR, Charles, Jerry and Jimmy, as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews, friends, and four beloved cats. Tom was born March 31, 1940 in east Oklahoma, mostly raised in central California. He joined the Navy at 17 and spent 20 years riding submarines and destroyers. After retiring he went back to school, getting a master's degree. He loved to travel, seeing exotic places and spending time with family. In later years he developed a passion for cat rescues, working with several local groups. He was known for his sense of humor, telling tall tales on everyone. His big heart and generous nature will be greatly missed. Tom will be buried at sea, with a memorial at some future point. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hands of Mercy Cat Sanctuary in his honor would be welcomed. Thanks to the angels at Shannon Hospital and Cedar Manor for their good care of him.

Horacio Garcia, Sr., 92, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at his home surrounded by family.

Public viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the Rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM Friday, April 2, 2021 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Liturgy of the Word will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Burial will follow at Miles Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Garcia was born February 10, 1929 in Kenedy to Martin and Mariapaz Garcia. Horacio was a resident of Grape Creek for the last five years moving from Sanora. Horacio was a lifelong San Angelo resident. He was a former employee of San Angelo Standard Times, working in the maintenance department. Horacio worked for Shannon Medical Center, working in the janitorial deportment, retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Horacio loved to go to What a Burger, drink coffee, go on walks, travel, and loved his Spanish Soap Operas.

Survivors include a son, Horacio Garcia, Jr. and wife Jane of Weatherford; three daughters, Mary Jean Romo of San Angelo, Juanita Melendez and boyfriend Jesus Romo of Eldorado, and Minnie Elizando San Angelo; 14 grandchildren, including her special granddaughter, who cared for him, Jessica Solis and Salvador of Grape Creek; 24 great grandchildren, including her special great grandchildren, Emma Solis and James Solis both of Grape Creek. Horacio was preceded in death by a son, Martin Garcia.

Ernest "June" Escamilla, Jr., 76, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021, at his home.

Memorial graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Eden Cemetery. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Escamilla was born on February 18, 1945 in Llano. He has been a resident of Eden for 45 years. June was a skilled forklift operator for DeLeon Peanut Company for 15 years and then worked for the City of Eden several years. He was catholic. June loved to fish and hunt for arrowheads. June was an avid sports fan; he loved the Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include his son, Ernie Escamilla and wife Becky of De Leon; his daughter, Michelle Perez and husband Tony of Benbrook; Mother, Gladys Escamilla of Eden; a brother, Fred Escamilla of Eden; three sisters, Frances Escamilla of Eden, Lois Gonzales of San Angelo, and Elaine Urteaga and husband Tony of Ft. Worth; four grandchildren, Lindsey Perez of Benbrook, Zachary Perez and wife Kelli of White Settlement, Krista Alvarado and husband Jose of Midland, Kevin Escamilla and wife Alyssa of Pampa; three great grandchildren, Liam Perez, Weston Alvarado, and Emersyn Escamilla. June was preceded in death by his Father, Anicasio "Cacho" Escamilla; five brothers, Phillip Escamilla, Ruben Escamilla, Jimmy Escamilla, Eugene Escamilla, and Lee Roy Escamilla.
