Richard Wade Swain

06/10/2021 - 09:20 , by TKing09

Hello, let me tell you about my son Ricky. He lived in the light of Christ. He was born April 27, 1973. The day he was born was the happiest days of my life! He brought joy to my heart the moment we looked into each other’s eyes. From the first step to the last, he was a bright shining light in our lives.
He is an adventurer, athlete, and a loving soul to all creatures. He would catch crawdads on a string with a wiener. It amazed him. He would gently return it to its home. He had a gest for life like no other. He once got an award in Junior High from his teachers for going above and beyond what they expected from him.
I wish I could turn the clock back and live it all over again! It was so exciting watching him live. He is a protector and prankster to his family. He taught us how to live and laugh, and sometimes cry. He is one of the few soulmates God blessed me with. He loved his papaw and his papaw loved him. Every time Papaw saw him, he would just laugh. I have been blessed a lot in my life, but he is one of the brightest blessings. He is a true friend to all! Watching his pain and suffering is unimaginable. He would always smile and wink when the pain became overwhelming.
This is Ricky. He is one of us. I am sure we all hurt in our own way, but there is also much joy and peace we are overlooking. Dad’s hand has reached down and taken Ricky’s hand. I cannot wait for them to reach down and take mine. Mom and Dad are healing us. Please be aware.
Ricky is survived by his companion of 15 years, Mary Sue Ybarra; parents Rick and Mary Swain; children Cole Swain, Lilly Swain and Seth Swain; stepchildren Heather Ybarra, Sam Sanchez and Jeremy Sanchez; grandchildren Desiree Garcia and Samantha Garivay and one great grandson Liam Noel Edmund Bruening. Siblings Pamela Hernandez, Robert Swain, Christina and Russell Black; aunts and uncles Pat and Larry Dean, Kitty & Danny Fulks, Gerry and Danny Harden, Sharon and Jim Hale, Jim and Lynette Stanley, Jackie and Mike McDonald, Gayle Helton, Bonnie and Larry Perkins, Kim Sparks; 20 cousins and also numerous sister and brother in laws to mention.
