Holguin Armando

Armando “Mando” Ornelas Holguin, 58, of San Angelo, passed away on February 2, 2014 at his residence San Angelo, TX. 

He was born on May 27, 1955 to Jose and Maria (Ornelas) Holguin of San Angelo, TX. He attended school at Central for 4 years. Armando worked as a lineman for WTU/AEP for over 25 years. Mando served his country in the Army during Vietnam. No matter where he went, or who met, Mando left his impression on people whether they were family or friends. 

Armando is survived by his son - Terence Abraham Holguin of Houston, TX; daughter - Kristin Marie Carrasco and husband, Richard of San Angelo, TX; mother of the children - Dorothy Valadez and husband, George of San Angelo, TX; grandson - Elija Carrasco; granddaughter - Abigail Carrasco; brother - Joe Holguin and wife, Esther of San Angelo, TX; sister - Adela Uribe and husband, Benny of Austin, TX; aunt - Jaoquina “Chata” Ornelas of San Angelo; uncle - Frank Holguin of Corpus Christi; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by parents, Jose Americo and Maria "Cuca" Holguin, brother, Gilbert Holguin, sister, Bertha Holguin, sister, Yolanda Pruitt-Holguin and sister, Eloise Nunez. 

Rosary will be held Thursday February 6, 2014, 7:00pm at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel 

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014, 10:00am at the St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona, officiating. 

Burial with military honors will take place in the Knickerbocker Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers will be Tony Munoz, Mike Holguin, Abel Molina, Tito Garcia, Raymond DeLeon, Ambrose Diaz, Gilbert "Gibby" Holguin and Richard Bejil. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Ortiz, Michael Holguin, Leonard Jungman, Dennis Pruitt, Richard De La Cruz and Louie Ornelas.
