Angelo State Dominates Lubbock Christian to Advance to LSC Final

SAN ANGELO, TX — The top-ranked Angelo State Rams avenged their opening LSC Tournament loss to Lubbock Christian on Friday night. The Rams led from start to finish to eliminate the Chaps, 15-3.

Chase Pendley jumpstarted the Rams' offense on Friday night with a 2-run home run in the top of the 1st inning. Angelo State added to that lead three more times, with two runs in the 3rd, two runs in the 4th, and two runs in the 7th inning.

LCU finally managed to battle back in the bottom of the 7th inning with three runs, but at that point, the game was essentially out of reach.

The Rams weren't done with their offensive barrage, however. Three runs in the 8th and four runs in the 9th led to a blowout. Angelo State won in the end, 15-3.

With the win, the Rams advance to the Lone Star Conference Tournament Final. Angelo State will face off with St. Edwards for the title. The Rams need to beat St. Edwards twice to claim the tournament victory.

First pitch in Game 1 is scheduled for 3 p.m.
