Numerous TLCA Student-Athletes Seek Medical Treatment After Workout

SAN ANGELO, TX — Multiple student-athletes from TLCA in San Angelo reportedly had to seek medical treatment after a school workout last week.

According to sources, the workout included 400 pushups among other punishments due to disciplinary issues.

The workout caused about 10 student-athletes to seek medical treatment in the aftermath, some with potentially serious medical conditions.

When asked about the incident, a TLCA spokesperson said the school was aware of the situation and was in contact with the "appropriate agencies."

They said the incident is still under investigation.

"A situation occurred last week during the high school athletic period which resulted in multiple students seeking medical attention," TLCA Director of Communications Jill Jones stated. "Upon becoming aware, the school reported to the appropriate agencies.

"This situation is currently under investigation and we are fully cooperating with the authorities. Our thoughts and prayers are with each student who has been impacted."
