Two pickup drivers went to Shannon Medical Center Wednesday morning after colliding on Burma and Turner roads in Carlsbad, said Sergeant Brooks with the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office.
Brooks said a driver of a blue pickup was traveling southbound a little after 9 a.m. on Turner Road approaching a curve while a red pickup traveled northbound toward the same curve. It appeared that the red vehicle veered into the oncoming southbound lane, Brooks added, so the two pickups collided.
The driver of the red pickup suffered a non-life-threatening lower leg injury and was transported by Shannon AirMed to the Medical Center. The driver of the blue truck also sustained minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Shannon.
Brooks said an investigation remains pending at this time, so no other information is available and no citations have been issued.
