Thanksgiving Morning Fire Kills Two Puppies in Abilene

 

ABILENE, TX — A Thanksgiving Day fire on the 1400 block of Beech claimed the lives of two puppies, according to the Abilene Fire Department.

Firefighters were dispatched at around 10:20 a.m. Thursday to a report of a residential fire. Crews found a fire at the rear of the structure and extinguished it with an attack line. No human injuries were reported.

The Abilene Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire was accidental. Damages are estimated at $8,000, and the investigation is now closed.
