82-Year-Old Woman Dies in Eastland County Crash

EASTLAND, TX — An 82-year-old woman from Ranger, Texas, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 206, nine miles south of Cisco, on Monday afternoon.

Patricia Alldredge Pockrus was driving a 2008 GMC Sierra pickup truck when she veered off the east side of the road just before 4 p.m., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Investigators said Pockrus overcorrected and lost control, causing the vehicle to skid sideways and overturn into a ditch.

Pockrus, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Harris Methodist Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased at 6:20 p.m.

The crash occurred on a clear day with dry road conditions, and the posted speed limit in the area is 75 mph.
