Two Arrested in Connection to Infant’s Death at Lake Ft. Phantom Hill

 

ABILENE, TX – Authorities have arrested two individuals in connection with the discovery of an infant’s body at Lake Ft. Phantom Hill.

Heather Rose Kennedy, 20, and her boyfriend, Donald Schultz, 35, both of Abilene, were taken into custody in the early morning hours of Friday, September 13, 2024.

Kennedy faces a charge of Second-Degree Felony Tampering with a Human Corpse and is being held on a $350,000 bond. Schultz has been charged with Second-Degree Felony Tampering with a Human Corpse and Third-Degree Felony Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registry. His bond is set at $500,000.

Abilene Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division made the arrests after acting on an anonymous tip received through Abilene Crime Stoppers. Major Investigations and Street Crimes units were also involved in the investigation, which remains ongoing.
