Police Searching for Suspect in Highway Mass Shooting

 

LONDON, KY - Authorities are searching for Joseph Couch, the suspect behind a mass shooting on Interstate 75 in Laurel County, Kentucky. 

Couch remains at large after firing 20 to 30 rounds around 6 p.m. Saturday, striking 12 vehicles and injuring five people near exit 49. All victims are expected to survive.

Law enforcement officers have combed the rugged, hilly terrain near London, Kentucky, a small city of about 8,000 people. Couch’s car was located with a gun case inside, but he has not yet been found. A community member may have captured the suspect on a trail camera, according to local authorities.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to Couch’s arrest. Despite the extensive manhunt, he remains at-large as the investigation continues.
