BRONTE, TX — The annual Bronte Showdown, which has long been a showcase for small-school volleyball, will be held this weekend.

Bronte, a state semifinalist last year, is ranked No. 9 in Class 1A. The Lady Longhorns are joined by No. 3 Benjamin and No. 10 Veribest, along with No. 7 Graford from Class 2A.
Other teams include Water Valley, Miles, Sterling City, San Angelo Cornerstone, Junction, Harper, Van Horn, Coahoma, Marfa, Early, Bangs and Bronte’s JV.
The top two teams in each pool Friday will advance to Saturday’s championship bracket. The tournament final is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday.
