Central Volleyball Standout Emilee Sikora Commits to Lubbock Christian University

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo Central volleyball standout Emilee Sikora has committed to play at Lubbock Christian University.

Sikora, who set Central’s single-season record with 613 kills last year, made the decision shortly before the start of this season, Central head coach Julie Williams said.

Sikora is a 6-foot-1 outside hitter who was named District 2-6A’s Outstanding Hitter last season.

She helped lead the Lady Cats to a 33-11 record and a spot in the second round of the playoffs.

Sikora is already off to a strong start this year after being named the Offensive MVP of the Brock Tournament last week. Central has won its first seven matches heading into this weekend’s Nita Vannoy Memorial Tournament in San Angelo.

Lubbock Christian is a NCAA Division II school and a member of the Lone Star Conference. The Lady Chaps went 17-9 last season.
