San Angelo, TX – The San Angelo Police Department has successfully apprehended suspects following a burglary of a motor vehicle reported earlier today.
According to information released by the San Angelo Police Department, at approximately 03:50 a.m., officers responded to a call regarding a burglary of a motor vehicle in the 4800 block of Oaklawn Boulevard.
Shortly after receiving a description of the suspect vehicle, an officer on patrol spotted a vehicle matching the description and conducted a traffic stop.
During the stop, officers discovered stolen property inside the vehicle. The suspects were taken into custody without incident and are now facing multiple charges,
including but not limited to burglary of a vehicle, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and theft of property.
Anakin Acosta, 18, and Ruben Gonzales, 17, were transported to the Tom Green County Jail. One additional juvenile was taken to Juvenile Justice Center (JJC).
This is an example of our teamwork and dedication of our officers. Their quick response and keen attention to detail led to the recovery of stolen property and the arrest of those responsible.
