Concho Valley Catfishing Tournament Scheduled for May 18th

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Anglers are gearing up for the upcoming Concho Valley Catfishing Tournament at the Twin Buttes Reservoir.

This will happen on May 18th, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The tournament is expected to draw over 35 teams vying for over $4,000 in winnings, featuring categories like the Biggest 5 Fish Bag, a Big Fish Side Pot, and a Junior Angler Pot, alongside “tons of giveaways.”

Registration will begin at 6 a.m. at the Twin Buttes Main Ramp (North Pool). Teams, consisting of two members, will pay a $100 entry fee. 

Additional costs include a $10 annual fee that covers participation in this and seven other planned tournaments. Anglers can also opt for a $25 big fish side pot.

The tournament will conclude with a weigh-in at 3:30 p.m. sharp. 

Prizes will be awarded for the biggest 5-fish bag, with payouts distributed as 60%, 25%, and 15% of the total pot.
