SAN ANGELO – One driver was sent to the hospital and one was taken to jail suspected of drunk driving following a two vehicle crash on Knickerbocker Rd. at Beaty Rd. Wednesday afternoon.
San Angelo Police Traffic Division Investigating officer Welch said at the scene that a Cadillac SUV and a white Hyundai Elantra were eastbound on Knickerbocker. The Cadillac stopped at the intersection and the driver of the Hyundai crashed into the back of it.
Officer Welch said the female driver of the Cadillac was taken by ambulance to the hospital with non incapacitating injuries.

The female driver of the Hyundai was arrested at the scene for suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated.
Officer Welch said the arrested driver failed to control speed causing the crash and the DWI was a factor.
