Van Carrying Elderly Residents Crashes into Truck on MLK

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – One passenger in a transit van carrying elderly residents was injured in a crash at the intersection of MLK and 14th St. Monday morning. 

According to San Angelo Police Dept. Traffic Division officer Long at the scene, a white transport van carrying five individuals from Rio Concho Manor was souththbound on MLK.  A white Ford F-250 pulling a black dump trailer was eastbound on 14th St.

According to Officer Long, the F-250 had the right of way and the transit van disregarded the stop sign and crashed into the pickup and trailer.  

One female passenger in the transit van was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.  The driver of the van was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
