SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Standard Times announced on Wednesday that they will be completely moving away from local delivery and will now be shipping the old fashioned newspaper through the US postal service.
According to an article posted on Sep. 13, 2023, the Standard Times stated that the move to mail will "alleviate some of the challenges of inconsistent delivery." However the paper is still printed in Lubbock so readers shouldn't expect the most up to date news.
New editor for the Standard Times Claire Kowalick did mention in the article that subscribers will be notified before the initial round of papers will be delivered. Currently print subscriptions for the paper runs about $500 a year. The delivery change will begin on Oct. 16.
