Women Injured in Crash at Dangerous Intersection

 

SAN ANGELO – Two elderly women were injured in a Monday morning crash at the dangerous intersection of 6th St. and N. Bryant in San Angelo.  

According to San Angelo Police at the scene, a black Nissan passenger car occupied by two elderly women was traveling northbound on N. Bryant.  A tan GMC pickup was southbound on Bryant attempting to turn left onto 6th St.  

The driver of the GMC pulled into the path of the Nissan causing the crash. 

Both women in the Nissan suffered significant injuries and were transported to Shannon Medical Center by ambulance.  The driver of the pickup was not injured and refused treatment at the scene.

According to the investigating officer, the driver of the pickup will be cited for failure to yield the right of way.
