SAN ANGELO- A black pickup truck crashed into a tree on South Abe Street in the early hours of Sunday morning causing the vehicle to roll onto its side.
At about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2022, San Angelo Police and San Angelo Fire Department were called to the intersection of South Abe Street and West Concho Avenue regarding a major crash.
According to San Angelo Police Public Information Officer Richard Espinoza, officers arrived and extracted the 34-year-old male from the truck with minor injuries. The subject had not been transported for the hospital and was on scene with officers while they conducted the investigation.
Officer Espinoza said the vehicle was southbound on South Abe Street, left the roadway, struck a tree, and rolled onto its side.
No other information was released at the scene other than the investigation is ongoing and it is unknown if any citations will be issued.
San Angelo Police did close South Abe Street while the clean up and investigation were taking place. Driving conditions were clear and the section of road where the crash occurred appeared dry.
