SAN ANGELO – A San Angelo man with a violent history has been sentenced for being in possession of a firearm and ammunition while being a convicted felon.

On April 15, 2022, Munoz was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility after being in custody of U.S. Marshals according to the judgement in this case. Also, the United States District Court made the recommendation to place Munoz in a prison outside the state of Texas.
Last year, Munoz was booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on April 3, 2021 and released to the feds on August 11, 2021.
Munoz was indicted by a Tom Green County grand jury in San Angelo back in February 2021 where he allegedly kidnapped a woman, threatened her with a knife and handgun, and raped her. Munoz’s current sentence will run consecutively with any sentenced imposed with this pending case and two others in Cameron County, Texas.
Munoz was also featured on the San Angelo Police Department's "Wanted Wednesday" in March 2021.
