SAN ANGELO, TX –– A late evening crash sent at least one person to the hospital on Sunday.
According to Officer Holder of the SAPD, first responders were dispatched to the area of W. Highland Blvd and S. Abe St. for reports of a crash.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a Dodge Challenger had collided with a tree.
The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the Challenger was traveling south on S. Abe St when they made a left turn onto W. Highland Blvd.
The driver failed to control the speed of the vehicle, went off the curb, and crashed into the tree. The speed limit in the area is 40 mph.
An ambulance was present at the scene and the injuries sustained by any occupants are unknown at this time. The airbags on the Challenger did deploy as a result of the crash.
No citations have been confirmed at this time.
