ODESSA, TX – A 10th grade student at Odessa High School was arrested Monday for bringing a gun to school.
According to CBS7, on Sep. 13, officers with the OPD were dispatched to Odessa High School after another student tipped them off about a student with a gun.
The school district confirmed that the teen has been arrested and charged with possession of a firearm in a prohibited place, a third degree felony.
ECISD stated in a press release that the tipster was given $500 for turning in their fellow student. The school district encourages other students to do the same if an opportunity arises.
