A 2012 International Prostar 18-wheeler collided with a red Nissan Frontier pickup just after 5 p.m. on Feb. 23 at the intersection of North Bryant Blvd and 23rd Street.
According to police, the 18-wheeler was southbound and the Nissan was northbound but turning west (left) onto 23rd on a green light, but not a green arrow light. The Nissan failed to yield the right-of-way to the southbound traffic.
The driver of the Nissan was lucky, though. The truck, having just started accelerating from a near stop was only traveling at 20-25 mph, police said.
No one was injured except the vehicles.
