Heavy Rainfall Leads to Multiple Water Rescues in Odessa

 

ODESSA, TX -- Heavy rains are causing serious issues for first responders in Odessa again Monday.

According to city officials, EMS and police have responded to dozens of calls related to flooding since Saturday.

Odessa Fire Rescue has responded to more than 20 water rescues while OPD officers have responded to almost 30 assist motorists calls.

Over the past, two days Odessa has received at least 1.36 inches of rain with more expected to fall.

First responders remind drives to be cautious anytime they observe water on the road.
