SAN ANGELO, TX- A San Angelo man took a plea deal and will spend six years in prison.
Today, April 15, 2021, Kistopher Magallen pleaded guilty to burglary of a habitation, a 2nd degree felony in exchange for dropping a kidnapping charge.
On October 14th, 2019, San Angelo Police Officers were dispatched to a house on the north side of town for a burglary report. Officers watched security footage and one of the officers involved located the vehicle and it still had stolen property in it.
They had three suspects in custody.
Officers spoke with Magallen and learned that he agreed to go get some property from the house. The defendant assisted in removing property from the residence and the co-defendant climbed through the window to gain entry.
Magallan told the officers that he knew the property wasn’t his during a Mirandized interview.
Kistopher Magallen plead guilty to the offense of burglary of a habitation was sentenced to prison for six years and he was ordered to pay $5,769.93 in restitution.
In exchange for the guilty plea, the State dropped an aggravated kidnapping charge.
