NWS: Thunderstorms Likely Monday Afternoon

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – The National Weather Service office in San Angelo is advising the possibility of severe weather Monday afternoon. 

According to the NWS, there is a 60% chance of rain Monday with the possibility of a thunderstorm between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.  Showers and thunderstorms are likely after 4 p.m. Monday. 

Thunderstorms are likely across the Concho Valley Monday with severe storms possible north of a line from San Angelo to Mason.  

The main Threats will be large hail and damaging winds. 

The danger of wildfires is also elevated to near critical Monday according to the NWS.  The highest wildfire danger is west of a Sweetwater to Robert Lee to Ozona line.    

There is also a chance later this week for showers and thunderstorms Wednesday night into Thursday.
