San Angelo State Park Schedules Night Hikes, Star Parties and Art Programs in July

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo State Park has announced its lineup of events for July, inviting visitors to explore the park after dark, enjoy art activities, and learn about wildlife under the stars.

Highlights include an “Over the Moon” program on Saturday, July 5, at the Red Arroyo Campground Boat Ramp from 9 to 10 p.m., and a Full Moon Hike on Wednesday, July 10, at the Chaparral Pavilion from 9 to 10 p.m.

Daytime offerings such as “Art in the Park” are scheduled for Thursday, July 17, and Thursday, July 31, from 8:45 to 10 a.m. at the Chaparral Pavilion.

Other events include “A-Mothing Good Time,” focusing on nocturnal insects, on Saturday, July 19, from 9 to 10 p.m. at the Red Arroyo Amphitheater, and a Star Party on Saturday, July 26, from 9 to 10:30 p.m. at the Red Arroyo Campground Boat Ramp.

A Women’s Hike is also planned for Sunday, July 27, at the Playground Parking Lot from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m.

In addition, Bison and Longhorn viewing is available every Wednesday and Saturday at 9 a.m.
