SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo Police, Tom Green County Sheriff's Deputies and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are reporting dozens of vehicle crashes on area roadways Thursday due to icy driving conditions.
Law enforcement reports indicate several crashes in the area of US 87 N. at FM-2105 and US 87 S. near Broadnax Rd.
Here is a list of delays and closings around the area.
The National Weather Service office in San Angelo forecasts temperatures to stay around freezing all day with freezing rain or drizzle keeping roadways icy and slick.
Motorists are urged not to travel Thursday unless absolutely necessary. If you must drive, slow down, watch for ice and leave additional distance between vehicles.
