MIDLAND, TX --The Midland Police Department has confirmed a fatality in an early Friday morning crash.
According to MPD, officers were dispatched to the area of 4400 block of Mockingbird Lane around 4:37 a.m.
Upon arriving at the scene officers, located a car crashed into a tree.
The preliminary investigation revealed the driver was traveling west on Mockingbird Lane at an extremely high rate of speed when he lost control of the car.
The driver was declared dead at the scene.
