Driver Killed in Rollover Crash

 

ODESSA, TX – The Odessa Police Department confirmed Saturday night the death of a 49-year-old man following a rollover crash. 

According to CBS7, on Nov. 7, officers with the Odessa Police Department were dispatched to the 2200 E. 52nd for the report of a rollover crash.

When the officers arrived on scene they found a black pickup that had rolled over in the middle of the roadway. 

Inside the vehicle remained the driver, 49-year-old Oliver Ornelas, who was pronounced dead on scene. 

Police claim that Ornelas lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, struck a light pole, and rolled the truck.

The time of the crash was around 10 p.m., the roadway was dry, and the sky was clear.
