LUBBOCK, TX – The pilot of a Cessna Centurion was killed Monday afternoon in a plane crash that may have been weather-related.
According to KCBD, on Oct. 26, officers with the Lubbock Police Department, EMS and Firefighter from the Lubbock Fire Department were dispatched to the 38th Street and Avenue A for the report of a plane crash.
When they arrived they discovered the C210 that had crash in the back of a commercial property. The pilot was killed in the crash.
No other injuries or damages to structure have been reported.
The FAA has taken over the investigation and will determine why the crash occurred.

The plane was headed to the Preston Smith Airport in Lubbock from Belen, New Mexico. He was scheduled to land in Lubbock at 4:07 p.m. The crash was reported at 4:02 p.m.
The weather in Lubbock at the time of the crash was cloudy, freezing, and possible slight precipitation.
