SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Police Department revealed more information regarding the truck that crashed Saturday into the Taco Bell on Knickerbocker Rd.
As previously reported, on August 15, officers with the SAPD were dispatched to the Taco Bell at 1701 Knickerbocker Rd. for the report of a truck that drove into the building. Here is the original story: Driver Slams Pickup Through the Front Doors of a San Angelo Taco Bell
Now the SAPD reports that the man who crashed into the fast food restaurant did it on purpose.
According to the SAPD's weekend arrest blotter William Dean Lee, 74, was arrested for criminal mischief after police were dispatched to the Taco Bell on Knickerbocker Rd. for the report of a vehicle that crashed into the building.
The investigation revealed Lee was charged with criminal mischief over $2,500 but less than $30,000. He was booked into the Tom Green County Jail but was released after posting a $7,500 Personal Recognizance Bond.
