Coronavirus: Meals for the Elderly Closes for Two Weeks

SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo's Meals for the Elderly temporarily closed Monday to help fight the spread of Coronavirus.

The following is a release from the organization:

As the numbers of positive cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in our community, Meals For The Elderly has made the difficult decision to close our facility for two weeks beginning Monday April 13, 2020. We will reopen our facility on April 27, 2020.

We would like to do our part to reduce the spread in our community and feel the best to do so is to limit the exposure to our employees, volunteers, and most importantly our elderly recipients. Meals for the Elderly is dedicated to our recipients and has taken the necessary steps to ensure our recipients have meals during our closure.

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support. Together we can help protect our elderly and flatten the curve.

Thank you.
