Octogenarian Strikes Sexagenarians After Driving Onto Sidewalk

 

FREDERICKSBURG, TX – After mistaking the accelerator for the brake, an 87-year-old man drove onto a sidewalk on Main Street in Fredericksburg Thursday afternoon injuring three pedestrians.

According to KXAN, the driver, from Buchanan Dam, stuck three people with his vehicle. Two women in their 60s were transported to a Fredericksburg hospital with minor injuries. A third woman was not so lucky, and the 67-year-old had to be air-lifted to Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin with serious injuries.

Other media outlets reported that the driver and his passengers were not injured and it is unknown what charges the 87-year-old may face.
