Afternoon Crash on Sherwood Way Sends Elderly Woman to the Hospital

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- An elderly woman was transported to the hospital this afternoon after a crash on Sherwood Way. 

According to Officer Younts with the San Angelo Police Department's Traffic Division. on November 19, officers were dispatched to the corner of A&M and Sherwood way for the report of a major motor vehicle accident. 

When officers arrived they found a maroon passenger can and a blue SUV that had collided in the middle of the roadway.

Further investigation revealed that the driver of the passenger car was headed east on Sherwood when the west-bound SUV attempted to make an unsafe left turn onto A&M Ave and collided with the maroon car. 

The passenger of the maroon car was taken to Shannon for non-life threatening injuries. 

The driver of the SUV was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.
