Crews Clean Roadway After Roofing Material Spill

 

ABILENE, TX -- A roofing company has spilled a load of materials on the Winters Freeway this morning. 

According to KTXS, on July 16 the Abilene Police Department responded to a spill on the Winters Freeway at Southwest drive. 

The APD are saying that the load contained various roofing materials including large nails. 

They are telling motorist to avoid the freeway due to the spill being "very hazardous to your vehicle and dangerous."

Crews are now working on cleaning up the spill.

Apparently that spill included a bunch of roofing nails. One poor guy ended up with 35 nails in his tires. Clever way to drum up some business for nearby tire stores.
