June's "Strawberry Moon" Visible Sunday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- June's full moon will be visible on Sunday.

The "Strawberry Moon" will be 100 percent visible at around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and will not set until 7:00 a.m. the following morning.

The moon is is named after the wild strawberries that start to ripen during this month. 

Other names of the moon is the Rose Moon, Hot Moon, and Mead Moon.
