SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo residents whose homes were damaged or destroyed in the Bradford neighborhood are being transported to First United Methodist Church downtown for temporary shelter.
San Angelo Police Department Public Information Officer Tracy Piatt-Fox said the city was providing transportation from Bradford to the church so residents can be in air conditioning and have a safe comfortable space. They initially were housed at Bradford elementary school.

Cleanup efforts continue across San Angelo in the aftermath of what has been described as a strong tornado.
Police are asking residents who have tree limbs or debris to place it on their curb and out of the streets. Ciry crews will eventually pickup the debris.
City streets were flooding along with the Red Arroyo and the Concho River Saturday.
