Pilot Escapes Serious Injury in Plane Crash Near Border Town

 

PRESIDIO, TX -- One man was inured in a plane crash Wednesday night near Presidio. 

According to NewsWest 9. the reason for the plane's lose of control was engine failure.

The Presidio County Sheriff's Department was alerted and later found the plane about six miles east of the Presidio airport.

Department of Public Safety and United States Border Patrol also assisted the Sheriff's Department locate the plane that was just feet away from a creek bed.

The pilot was hospitalized, and he was the only one aboard.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
