Driver Arrested After Ramming 370z into San Angelo Motel

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The front of the San Angelo Lodge Motel, 1717 W. Beauregard Ave., was partially demolished when a man driving a red Nissan 370z drove into the area to the right of the front desk area.

From the photos, the Z took out part of the stone wall façade.

Police were seen arresting a tall, white guy. There were witnesses at the scene who assisted getting the guy out of the car. When the guy was free of the car, he turned to his rescuers and admitted, "Sorry, man. I'm f--ed up." That's what the witnesses, who did not want to be named in the story, said.

While police and firefighters are working the scene, they request motorists to avoid the intersection of W. Beauregard and S. Milton St. The incident happened at 10:10 p.m. Sunday night.

Update 11:15 p.m.

The driver was transported to Shannon Medical Center to be checked out. The investigating officer quickly left the scene to question him there. Other than the driver, no one else was injured in the incident.
