Toyotas Crash on Access Road; Boat Unscathed

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A woman driving a Toyota Avalon was injured Friday morning in a crash at the intersection of Shiloh St. and N. Jefferson.

According to San Angelo Police investigating officer Brian Bylsma, the driver of a blue Toyota Tacoma was westbound on Shiloh St. while the driver of the Avalon was southbound on Jefferson.

Witnesses say the driver of the Avalon had a green light and proceeded into the intersection.  The driver of the Tacoma ran the red light and entered the intersection crashing into the avalon.

The Avalon came to rest in a yard next to a boat on a trailer.  The boat appeared undamaged.

The driver of the Avalon went by private vehicle to the hospital.

The drive of the Tacoma was issued a citation for disregarding a red light according to officer Bylsma.

Traffic was diverted around the crash until the vehicles could be removed.
