Early Morning Crash on Bell Street

SAN ANGELO, TX — (SAPD Press Release) During this morning’s commute, Officers worked a multi-scene crash on Bell Street involving a 2014 Chevy Silverado.

The 53-year-old driver was traveling southbound on Bell when he reportedly suffered a medical complication before striking a red Ford Ranger, causing it to flip and land in a side yard at a residence in the 100 block. The Silverado continued south on Bell and drove into oncoming traffic where it sideswiped a passenger car and destroyed a utility box near Van Zandt Street.

After that collision the Silverado continued traveling sideways back into the southbound lane where it eventually struck a pole, a tree, and a utility trailer that was parked in the side yard of a residence near the 900 block of Bell. The force of that collision forced the trailer several feet into a nearby telephone pole.

AEP and Suddenlink crews were called to the scene. Repair work is expected to take several hours.

Thankfully, no parties involved were seriously injured.
