SAN ANGELO, TX -- Ice coated power lines and tree branches apparently sparked a small fire near the intersection of S. Park St. and Alta Loma Circle on Wednesday.
According to first responders at the scene, the powerline sparked causing the branches to catch fire. They were waiting for AEP workers to cut power to the line so they could trim the branches.
While reporters were on the scene, the powerline fell to the ground and blew a transformer. No one was injured and the fire was extinguished.
