Old Ford Mows Down Traffic Light

SAN ANGELO, TX — A Left hand turn light was torn down when the driver of an old Ford pickup plowed it over just after 10 p.m. this evening on S. Bryant Blvd. at Ave. L.

San Angelo police said the driver might have been distracted but definitely failed to control speed. But there was no evidence of drunk driving, police said.

Until crews can fix the traffic light, left hand turns off Bryant to Ave L will be unprotected. Crews were already dispatched to re-install the traffic light.
