Abilene Teen Dies After Being Struck by Car

ABILENE, TX -- Abilene police say Dominiques Rene Kirkwood, 17, who was hit by a car Friday morning, has died from her injuries.

Police stated that Kirkwood was walking on Judge Ely Boulevard around 2:20 a.m. Friday morning when a Dodge Charger collided with her near EN 16th St. 

Kirkwood was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

The driver has not been issued a citation.
