San Angelo Police Officer Gesch said the driver of a white Toyota Avalon was traveling eastbound on Knickerbocker, attempting to make a left turn on to South Jackson. A white Nissan Titan pickup was traveling westbound on Knickerbocker in the far north lane. The driver of the Avalon failed to yield to the driver of the Nissan and the two vehicles collided, which caused the pickup to veer slightly to the right, and, in turn, collided with a Toyota Prius stopped at the red light.
After the Nissan hit the Prius, the two vehicles spun around, jumped the curb and hit a chain link fence.
Luckily, no one was injured, but the driver of the Avalon got a citation for failing to yield the right of way while making a left turn.
