Dead Man found, Police Investigating

 

San Angelo police are investigating the discovery of a dead man in the south alleyway of the 2000 block of Lindell Ave.

According to Sgt. Travis Griffith, the dead man was a Hispanic in his late 20s or early 30s. The Criminal Investigations Division has cordoned off a crime scene to investigate.

A call about the body was received by police at 4:17 p.m.

“We are trying to find, using various avenues, the identity of the subject,” Griffith said.

JP Judge Eddie Howard was on the scene to pronounce the man dead.

Griffith said the investigation is just beginning and would not speculate on the cause or reason for the man’s death.
