At the corner of South Milton and W. Beauregard, a man was hit by a Chevy while crossing the street.
Sergeant Rick Tinsley with the San Angelo Police Department said, "A gentleman in his late forties, early fifties, was attempting to cross the street; we're not sure which direction he was crossing yet, and the lady (in the Chevy) turned off of Milton St. attempting to head eastbound on Beauregard and she hit him."
The man was taken to Shannon Medical Center and his injuries are unknown at this time. However, Tinsley said his injuries are not expected to be life-threatening. However, they were serious enough for him to be transported to the hospital.
Tinsley said alcohol or drugs were not a factor in the crash.
